Dr. Joshi began his medical career with an MBBS degree, followed by his M.S. in General Surgery and M.Ch. in Urology. He has worked at Nair Hospital, where he trained under the guidance of renowned experts such as Dr. S.T. Choudhary and Dr. H.M. Punjani. His clinical work in the Department of Urology at Nair Hospital included extensive exposure to endourological procedures and equipment, contributing to his proficiency in complex surgeries.

  • Periurethral Injection of Fat in Stress Urinary Incontinence: Dr. Joshi conducted an experimental study to assess the role of periurethral fat injection as an alternative treatment for stress urinary incontinence. The study found that while the results were short-lived, it offered an affordable option to collagen injections, and his findings are currently being explored for long-term improvement.
  • The Role of Mepartricin in Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): In collaboration with Tata Pharma, Dr. Joshi conducted a drug trial on the role of Mepartricin (Ipertrophan) in BPH treatment. The study concluded subjective improvements in patients treated with the drug, although objective results were inconclusive.
  • The Role of ERCP in the Management of CBD Stones: Dr. Joshi participated in a study on ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) for managing CBD stones, which highlighted its significant role in diagnosing and treating obstructive jaundice caused by these stones.
